Glob News ISLAMABAD - Pakistan asked Afghanistan to hand over the top leader of the Daesh / ISIS-linked terrorist outfit by its forces during an action last week.

The Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and expressed his views on the arrest of Pakistan's ISIL-Khorasan leader Aslam Farooqi on April 5, 2020, FO said in a statement.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Pakistan expressed concerns about the activities of this group, which is clearly detrimental to Pakistan. Pakistan's position on this issue was shared regularly with the Afghan Government and other interested parties.

As it is, Farooqi originally emphasized that the Ambassador should be handed over to Pakistan for further investigations, as it is engaged in anti-Pakistani activities in Afghanistan.

It was also underlined that the two parties should coordinate actions against the threat of terrorism, including established mechanisms.
