World News - Indian troops in Indian Occupied Kashmir have martyred 74 [seventy four] Kashmiris including 3 [Three] women and 4 [Four] young boys during the ongoing 7~month long siege and lockdown in the territory.
According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, on the completion of seven months of unrelenting military lockdown, today, of those martyred 7 [seven] youth were killed in fake encounters or custody.

"India had revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir on 5th [five] August, last year, and put the territory under military siege".
The report said that during the period, at least 943 people were critically injured due to firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful demonstrators by Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel in the occupied territory..
It said that thousands of Hurriyat leaders, activists, politicians and civil society members including APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Ghulam Muhammad Hubbi, Muhammad Yasin Attai, Zafar Akbar Butt, High Court Bar Association President Mian Abdul Qayoom, Bar General Secretary, Muhammad Ashraf Butt, and human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, continued to remain under house arrest or in jails.
The report said that Indian troops molested 49 women after barging into the residential houses during the period. The occupation authorities also did not allow people to offer Juma prayers for 19 [Nineteen] consecutive weeks at historical Jamia Masjid in Srinagar after 5th August, it said.

World News - The number of people killed in clashes during protests in India's capital city against a controversial citizenship law has increased to 10; according to reports in Indian media..

In December, the Indian parliament passed a bill amending the 1955 Indian nationality law and introduced fast track citizenship procedures for Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and Christians who had fled from neighboring Muslim countries Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan before December 2014, while Muslims themselves were excluded from the law.
The decision has prompted waves of protests across the South Asian country.

US President Donald Trump arrived in India on Monday for his first 36 [thirty six ]hours long visit to the country.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the president. who was accompanied by his wife Melania, daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and top brass of his administration, at Ahmadabad airport.
Trump and Modi were due to address a huge rally of around 100,000 people at the world’s biggest cricket stadium in Modi's home state before the US president fly to the historic building, Taj Mahal, in Agra.
